With the sides, shelves and back ready, it was time to glue them together to form the main carcass of the cabinet. I did some dry fitting to make sure everything would glue up OK. Once I was satisfied, I laid the plywood back on the floor and glued up the carcass. The back wasn't attached yet, I just used it to help me keep the frame square. I applied all of the clamps and took diagonal measurements to ensure the front was square, and let it cook in the clamps for about 24 hours. After the glue was dry, I removed the clamps, sat it upright and attached the plywood back with screws. I then spent more time sanding to remove any marks from the clamps.
With the carcass glued up, now we can build a base for it to sit on.
